Dr. Purdy specializes in the treatment of elbow, wrist, and hand conditions. She maintains excellent and open relationships with hand and sports therapists across the state, educating and coordinating with them to achieve your best outcome.
Who Is Dr. Purdy?
Dr. Beth Purdy has practiced in Phoenix since 1998, earning the confidence and loyalty of her patients. She is an expert in orthopedic surgery, specifically upper extremity surgery, with a special interest in congenital hand reconstruction and complex elbow reconstruction. Dr. Purdy completed her residency in orthopedic surgery from Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio - the first woman to accomplish this. She then received further specialized training in complex elbow problems at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Beth Purdy is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and has received the Specialty Certification in Hand Surgery. She served as President of ArMA (Arizona Medical Association) in 2009-2010 and continues to be active with both ArMA and other organizations defending patient access to health care and the freedom of patients and their physicians to direct that care as they see fit.
